The boom, blam and pow!

I’d like to point out that my effects rig is still exactly as it last was.  Yes… amazing.
And… my P.A. is exactly as it last was.
And… my bass amp head is the same as it last was.

But… my cabinets have changed.  Finally wielding cabinets that I really love.   Really.

m13rig My pedalboard evolution seems to be the most interesting to people.   Well,  I have good news and bad news.   Good news is it’s changed again.  Bad news is that I reeeeeaaaaaalllllllyyyyyy feel it’s going to stay this way for a while.    Why?  Because I’ve yet to find something I need that this setup cannot do.

This is a Line6 M13  (upgrade from the M9) with an X2 wireless strapped to the top right corner and a tiny boost pedal strapped to the right side to balance levels between different basses.   Thusfar this setup has been perfect for my needs.   Which makes me very uncomfortable.

Amp Head wise I’m now using a TC Electronic RH450. I can honestly say that this is the amp head I wished I would have purchased a long time ago.  Again, thusfar this has been great for my use.    Looking forward to adding an RS210 and RS112 TC Electronic cabinet pair as soon as possible.

Gear Update #1,721 – or so it seems.

It’s came to my attention this week that apparently people do pay attention to my jabberings about my gear and the changes it goes through.  If nothing else it’s entertaining for other musicians to witness someone elses indecision, which many can relate to.

So, here’s my current state of instruments.

The custom Regenerate Guitar Works Heritage Plus 5 Extreme remains my go to bass (white one).  It’s wildly versatile and a qualityX3 instrument.
The Sterling by Musicman Ray35 is my newest addition (black one).  It came to me via Knoxville and Ebay.  Absolutely nails the Stingray vibe, feel and sound at an affordable price.

The heavily modded Schecter Studio5 (wood one) remains around and will continue to stay around.  It’s an aggressive and expressive Warwick sounding creation that just ended up being a magic combination of it’s modded parts.
And of course the Cort SFX-5 Aura is my one 6-string guitar.  It’s a gorgeous instrument that has a ton of tonal flexibility.

Ok, this is getting serious.

:: gasp ::  I actually strapped this new pedalboard setup down with wire straps.  Which is a first for me.   Is this a pedalboard commitment happening???

All right… I admit it…  I have a problem with changing things on my pedal board.   I really think i’m finally honing in that main things I ‘need’ on my pedal board.   i think i’m going to force myself to not change anything until 2010.
